Milwaukee is relaxed and sociable, with a lot of the calendar running through regular social nights rather than dedicated venues. Madison is smaller but unusually open, with strong overlap into the wider non-monogamy community.

Both sit within ninety minutes of each other and within two hours of Chicago, and couples move freely across all three. The effective calendar is considerably larger than the state's own.

Distances and how people travel

Milwaukee to Madison is eighty minutes, Milwaukee to Chicago ninety, Madison to Chicago two and a half hours. Minneapolis is around five from Milwaukee.

Outside the metros

Green Bay, Appleton and the north have small local networks. The Dells and the northern lakes draw seasonal activity in summer.
