Privacy policy

A short policy, because this is a static site that does not ask you for anything.

What we collect

This site has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter and no forms. We do not ask you for your name, your email address or anything else, and there is nothing here for you to log into.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — as essentially all web servers do. These are used for security and for aggregate traffic understanding, and are retained only as long as needed for that.

Analytics

Where analytics are used, they are configured to measure aggregate traffic rather than to build profiles of individuals. We do not sell data, and there is no advertising network operating on this site.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies for its own purposes. If you follow an affiliate link, the destination site will set its own cookies under its own policy, which is outside our control and which you should read if it matters to you.

Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you create an account through one, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Those links carry the standard sponsored attribute so they are identifiable in the page source, and the destination platform handles all data you provide to it.

We do not receive any personal information about you from those platforms — not your name, not your email address, and not whether you signed up. What is reported back is aggregate and anonymous.

Third parties

We do not embed social media widgets, tracking pixels or third-party fonts. Pages are self-contained, which is both a privacy decision and a performance one.

Who controls your data

Swinger Basics Editorial

The site is operated from the European Union, which means the General Data Protection Regulation applies to how we handle personal data, regardless of where you are reading from. In practice we hold almost nothing — there are no accounts, no forms and no newsletter.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing. Since we hold essentially nothing beyond server logs, there is generally little to act on — but if you want to make a request, contact us and we will deal with it.

Children

This site is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and sets standard security headers. Because there are no accounts and no user-submitted content, the attack surface is small — there is no database of visitors to breach, because there is no database of visitors.

Protecting your own privacy

The bigger privacy question for most readers is not this site but the platforms you use. A few practices do most of the work: use an email address that exists for this and nothing else, use a username that appears nowhere else, and never reuse a photograph that exists anywhere on the open web.

Reverse image search is instant and free, and reusing a photo is the most common way people in the lifestyle are identified. Backgrounds matter as much as faces — windows, mirrors, post on a table, a work lanyard. We cover this properly in protecting your privacy and photos and privacy.

Browsing this site discreetly

Nothing here sets a cookie or leaves an account trace, but your browser history and your device will still show that you visited. If that matters in your situation, a private browsing window handles the local record. It does not hide traffic from a network administrator or an internet provider, which is a separate problem with a separate solution.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the revised version will be published here. The date at the foot of the page indicates when it was last reviewed.
