Get in touch

We read everything that comes in, though we cannot always reply individually.

What to write about

  • Corrections. If something here is factually wrong or out of date, tell us and we will look at it. This is the message we most want to receive.
  • Editorial suggestions. If there is a question you cannot find a good answer to anywhere, it may be worth a guide.
  • Removal requests. If you believe something on this site identifies you or infringes your rights, tell us and we will deal with it promptly.
  • Accessibility problems. If any part of the site does not work with the tools you use, we want to know.

What we cannot help with

  • Personal advice. We are not counsellors and cannot give guidance on individual relationships. A therapist familiar with non-monogamy is a far better use of your time.
  • Introductions. We do not run events, do not host a community and cannot connect you with anyone.
  • Venue enquiries. We are not affiliated with any club or event, and we do not have information about specific venues.
  • Recovering money lost to a scam. Contact your bank immediately and report it to the relevant national fraud body — those are the routes that can actually help.

Urgent situations

If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services rather than a website. If you are dealing with sextortion or threats, preserve the messages, stop responding and report it to law enforcement — they have seen it many times and reporting is not an admission of anything.

How to reach us

Email: hello@swingerbasics.com

That address is read by the people who write the site. We do not maintain social media accounts, and any account claiming to be us is not.

For anything sensitive, keep it brief and do not include identifying details you would not want sitting in an inbox. If you are asking about a removal, a link to the page and a short explanation is enough.

Response times

Corrections and removal requests are prioritised and usually handled within a few days. General enquiries take longer and may not receive an individual reply. We do not accept guest posts, link exchanges or sponsored placements, and messages about those are deleted unread.

If you are reporting an error

The most useful reports include three things: the page, the specific sentence, and why it is wrong. Where a claim is factual and we have got it wrong, we would rather have a source than an assertion — not because we doubt you, but because it makes the correction faster and more likely to stick.

We are particularly interested in errors about local rules, venue practices and health guidance, all of which change and all of which we describe in general terms precisely because they are hard to keep current. If something on a city or state page no longer reflects how things work where you live, that is worth telling us.

What we will not publish

We do not name venues, do not publish reviews and do not run a directory, so requests to be listed cannot be accommodated. We also do not publish reader stories, because we have no way to verify them and a site that invents testimonials is exactly the kind of site this one exists to be an alternative to.

Press and research

We are happy to point researchers and journalists toward published work on consensual non-monogamy rather than offering opinions of our own. We do not have members, do not hold data about anyone, and cannot introduce you to people in the scene — if that is what you need, approach community organisers directly and expect appropriate scepticism.

Please do not send anything identifying about yourself or anyone else. There is no situation in which we need your real name, and an email is not a secure channel.
