Swingers clubs in Tampa, FL
Tampa Bay has one of the more settled scenes in the country — built on regulars who know each other rather than on a rotating cast of visitors.
What the scene here is like
Unlike Miami, the Tampa Bay scene is built mainly on regulars, which gives it a more settled feel — people recognise each other and reputations matter. That makes it slower to enter and much more pleasant once you are in.
It also has an unusually long history for a US metro, with groups and events that have run continuously for many years. Long continuity tends to produce clearer norms, which newcomers find reassuring once someone explains them.
Where things actually happen
The scene straddles the bay, and the bridges are the organising fact of life. St Petersburg, Clearwater and the beach communities on the west side have their own gravity, while Tampa proper and the northern suburbs cover the rest.
Crossing the bay adds thirty to forty-five minutes each way, which is enough that many couples pick a side and stay on it. Events that deliberately alternate between the two are common for exactly that reason.
Timing, seasons and travel
Peak runs from roughly October to May. Midsummer is hot and humid enough to push everything indoors, and attendance dips in August. Snowbird season adds a noticeable number of part-year residents from January onward, which visibly changes the age mix at events.
Venues we have been able to verify
Short list, and deliberately so. Everything below was corroborated against at least one source that is not a directory, and carries the date it was last checked. Absence from this list means we have not verified a place, not that it does not exist.
| Venue | Type | Where | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eyz Wide Shut | On-premise club | East Adamo Drive, industrial east side of Tampa | Two adjacent buildings — one lodging with themed suites, one the club itself — totalling over 12,000 square feet. Unusually for a US lifestyle venue it holds a full liquor licence rather than running BYOB, which is a Florida licensing difference rather than the national norm. Membership card required, and playroom access is priced separately from club entry. Security is thorough: metal detectors at the doors and phones held at the counter. Checked 2026-07 · Yelp listing (2026), venue's own site, two independent lifestyle guides (2025, 2026) with matching address |
Confirm directly with the venue before you travel. Opening nights, membership requirements and admission policies change constantly, and we deliberately do not carry them here for exactly that reason.

Meet-and-greets are the standard on-ramp here and are treated as an ordinary social event. Most couples attend two or three before anything else happens.
The general order — talk to each other, then meet people online, then meet in public, then consider an event — is covered in how to find people.
Local safety notes
In a scene this settled, word travels. That is protective — but it also means being careless with someone else's discretion has consequences that last.
The universal rules are on our safety page: public first meeting, your own transport, somebody who knows your plans, and never sending money to anyone you have not met.
Florida context
Florida venue rules vary considerably by county, and both licensed and bring-your-own models exist. More in our Florida overview.
Questions about the Tampa scene
How do couples get started in Tampa?
The usual route is meeting people online first, then a drink somewhere public. Events come later, once a few faces are familiar.
Is there an active lifestyle scene in Tampa?
Yes, and it has a reputation as one of the friendliest scenes for newcomers in the South, largely because it runs on people who already know each other.
Do we have to do anything at our first event?
No — and most couples do not. Turning up, talking to a few people and going home is a completely normal first night, and nobody keeps score.
When is the best time of year in Tampa?
October through May. January to March adds the seasonal residents and is the busiest stretch.
How do we stay safe meeting people?
Meet somewhere public first, arrange your own transport, tell a friend where you are going, and never send money to anyone you have not met in person.
